Tin Dirdamal was born in Mexico in 1982. He has a background in engineering. Withought any cinematographical experience, he first took a camera and made his first feature documentary; DeNADIE, which won over 15 awards in international film festivals, including an award in Sundance in 2006 and a Mexican Academy Award that same year.He continues making films in an attempt to better understand how we as human beings relate. He is currenlty working on a film about the future of water.
