Las Américas Film Network (LAFN) is a distribution company based in New Orleans, Louisiana with the mission to distribute documentary, experimental and feature length film and video about Latin America to North America.Our films explore the many social, environmental, racial, cultural and political complexities of the region through well-researched documentation and high-quality filmmaking.
As a distribution company based in the United States, we are able to serve Latin American filmmakers and production companies seeking to have their work shown in North America. We also work with non-Latin American filmmakers whose work focuses on the region. For many people, merely getting their films to market represents a great difficulty. Through our network of universities, cultural centers, museums and more, Latin American filmmakers can easily gain access to the North American market.
We hope that by beginning this distribution service, we will serve the needs of our filmmakers and audience by representing the best material about Latin America available.
